the start of a new era

It has indeed been a long two years and my blog has withered away with the passing of time, hah. Well, seeing some people's blogs have inspired me once again to start writing about the certain ramblings about my insignificant little life. =) Seriously, i don't know whether i'll keep this up in the long term, but i guess it will all depend on how interesting my future life will be, lol.

These past 2 years of having to serve NS was kind of interesting, with various ups and downs. Well, today was the day that i ORD-ed. Finally. lol. Was kind of anti-climatic actually. Guess what Jacob Toh said was true - we were all so looking forward to ORD and once we got our pink IC and maybe after a few hours of exhilaration and relief, you realise that life just goes on.

Looking back at my past entries and my JC life was particularly funny. I really can't believe i used to blog the way i used to, feels as though i'm reading another person's blog actually. The tagboard is equally hilarious, esp the older tags. My last entry was 2 years ago when i had just enlisted. Still remembered how i really dreaded entering the army then and how much i wanted to ORD immediately, and now, i have. Seriously, time flies man, its almost time to usher in 2009. Realised that my thinking then was really quite immature sometimes and hopefully i have matured these past 2 years. Looking at the JC photos are also quite cringe-inducing also, seeing how OBESE i was last time. Gosh, can't believe i was actually that fat last time! Thank God i went through that 3 months of BMT, haha. Shall post some more recent photos later i guess. Kind of reminded me of what happened yesterday when i went to get my phone, i showed the guy my 11B and he actually didn't believe that the picture on my 11B was me. He kept asking me is that really me, lol.

Well, i have finally ORD-ed and a new chapter in life awaits me henceforth. The first page to this new chapter is going to be a long awaited holiday man. Will be leaving for phuket tmr evening together with my sec sch friends, zb and cw. I was the one who did most of the planning and organising for this trip actually. Well, we only managed to finalise this trip like a month back due to many mishaps and wars. First was the actual dates, then the passports, then the hotels, then the bookings, then the passports again, then the protests in bangkok. Lol, everything that could go wrong, went wrong. Nonetheless, the trip prevailed due to my excellent skills. lol and we are going to embark on our fellowship to the land of the thais tmr, sawasdee!

Hm, after the trip my plan is to quickly get a job and get some decent working experience and of course start earning some money to fund my constant expenditures and probably start university next year. Looks like its most probably going to be SIM since i was too screwed up in JC and practically screwed my whole A levels up and am unable to get into the local uni. Hopefully this time i have the motivation and the maturity to know when to play and when its time to study and not be such an idiot. It'll definitely be difficult getting into the momentum of studying again especially after not using my brain for 2 years but i know i can do it.

2 years have passed, and now for the next 2. =)
