back to work..
Last week started off real slowly, basically just stayed at home catching up on sleep and settling some of the usual stuff. Decided to join cheryl and her friend, janice at phuture on wed night together with yao guang. Was hanging out with eileen, yvonne and their friends for awhile before joining cheryl and janice, too bad they came too late and couldn't get into phuture. We stayed till almost 4, and by then we were all pretty exhausted and rather high. But nonetheless we all had a pretty fun time letting loose after so long. I almost got into a fight earlier on thou. lol.   Woke up on thurs feeling rather .. well let's just say i've had better days. Was suppose to meet ty at 4.30 but i kinda fell asleep in the afternoon and woke up at 4.30. oops, haha. Meeting up with ty is like meeting up with my relatives, it only happens every few months. like seriously. But it was good to see him again after so long. Gerald came to meet us after work and we went to catch Watchmen. I really didn't expect the movie to be so long, felt that it got a little draggy after a while but overall, it was a pretty good. We were all wondering why Dr Manhattan had to be naked throughout 90% of the movie thou. Fri was just a casual outing with bern, cheryl and cliff at raffles city. Lunch was at Aerins, followed by shopping and loads of camwhoring. Seriously, cheryl is the biggest camwhore ever. my inner camwhore has been brought out by her. Quite hilarious thou, cliff was inside G2000 trying clothes out while the 3 of us were snap snap snapping away outside the shop. Saw some nice wallets and watches at Agnes B. but alas, they are wayyy too expensive.          Going out with them always make me feel so inexperienced since im the youngest but its always so insightful to hear their "life stories". ha. Cheryl is such a business savvy woman and a globetrotter, always travelling the world while cliff seems so grounded and Bern is just slacking off! haha! And then came saturday, where i met up with my sji friends and there were shockingly, 7 of us present - kl, zb, cw, ty, ger, me and jeremy. The last time where there were so many of us was probably quite a few years back during our weekly lan outings when we needed the numbers. The atmosphere was rather um.. interesting, to say the least. We went over to bukit timah plaza to play lan, tried out left4dead. It was pretty fun, there were the usual screams and mad orgasams. People leaving each other to die, people trying to ks each other and the usual bitchy stuff. Haha, just like old times eh. All these outings made me realise how rarely i meet up with my JC mates. I hardly ever see them nowadays, especially the gals like anitha and yawen and even kelly. I haven't seen yawen since god knows when man. Hopefully the meetup will be successful this sat. freaking bored
i hate having nothing to do and being so nuah at home. i need a freakin job. i need the freakin money. i need to know the outcome. i need.to know if it will all work out. I just need time to freakin pass faster. damn it. i fucking hate waiting. I always seem to be waiting for something. waiting for .. school.. friends.. results.. work.. a lot of things will soon be determined over the next few weeks. i just need the damn patience. Meeting with cheryl, cliff and the others for lunch tmr @ bugis, should help to make time pass a little faster. Time passed so damn fast while i was working. fucking ironic. and i fuckin. love. this. song. frustrations..
I am soooo tired but i'm actually enjoying work, except for the boring seminars of course. For once in my life, i dun dread getting up so early in the morning to go to school/camp/work. The past few days brought more new slaves like chris, michele, clifford, bernedette and cassandra, which means more people to crap with. haha. Found out that cheryl lives super near me so we have been going to work tgt and apparently there have been some bitching about a particular someone of late. lol. The past 2 weeks have made me come to realise some things and now i'm starting to really evaluate what do i really wanna do. Talking to these "qian bei men" can be rather insightful actually. Gained some knowledge over the past few weeks. Feeling rather vexed over some issues but hopefully i can get them solved soon. Really crossing my fingers that things will work out eventually, but i can only blame myself if they don't. sigh.. Time to start looking for another job soon, probably need to save up as much money as possible for the future assuming all works out. APEC Summit 2009
Well, my 2 week assignment at the APEC summit commenced on monday, just four days ago although it feels like so much longer. but i must say, i'm sort of enjoying myself in a weird kind of way. Yes, the meetings the meetings i'm in are very long (at least 3 hours) and are VERY boring since it has nothing to do with me. Some of the delegates can be rather um, let's just say they aren't very nice. I shan't say who explicitly in case some crazy person is out there decides to sue me for defamation or smth. lol. There was one who decided to leave an apple core on the floor after eating. very disgusting i know, since i was the one who cleaned it up. and some of them look like they wanna bite your head off. There was even one who raised his eyebrows at one of the console guys VERY SUGGESTIVELY. HAHA! talk about inappropriate.. Of course, there are some who are quite nice. Was helping out this japanese guy today who was assisting the EC Chair. And he was damn polite lar, not like some. At the end, he even came to thank me for everything and gave me his namecard lol. Turned out his name is Takuo Kato, and he is the Deputy Director for International Economic Affairs in the Cabinet Office. I think i will most prob be meeting him tmr again. Have been working at least 12 hours everyday but too be honest, i rather work 12 hours a day like this than 8 hours at a desk. And the people i'm working with are damn nice and friendly lar. My meeting room ic is wendy who turned out to be fucking funny. We keep bitching about stuff at the back of the room and over the last couple of days she started to ask qian bian qi and lame jokes. and it is seriously fucking entertaining when we are damn bored in the room. And this has been spreading like nuts. We have been like asking everyone in the falcon room and some of the faces are damn funny sia. Even ying qing whom i thought won't talk much now is like talking quite a lot. 3 of us are just keep crapping at the back to self-entertain ourselves over the 3 hours. The people from Tricom are also damn good la, lol. everytime go back to the room is just to crap with ai lin and the rest. Shu wen is seriously FUCKING NICE, and damn "wen rou" like someone said. can't imagine her scolding people or losing her temper at all. Then there is xin wei who is like bloody tall. Was having lunch at the falcon room today and we were spreading the qian bian tis to everyone in the room la. was damn funny to see their reactions. Clifford was like thinking so much to one damn lame question until michele totally sian diao. then there was others like jasmine, who took over qing ying in the afternoon, xue ling, oxy and cheryl. this wendelicious is becoming a super celeb sia. lol. she was even msging qian bian tis to the other room ics during the meetings. lol. and she keeps flirting with bobby. HAHA. Ok, working at events like this seriously rocks although the pay is not say very high actually and the working hours are long. But i think the people u work with helps make up for all of that. and this wendy is crazy la, keeps taking taxi home everyday. but not bad la, i got free ride home. HAHA. if not i prob reach home at like 9pm. I think by the end of the whole event i'm like going to be friends with the security and the hotel staff too also. and the air conditioning is FARKING COLD. its like a bloody FREEZING FIELD in the hotel especially the Riverfront room where i'm in. and everyone keeps complaining to us of course. Heard from clifford that one of the China delegates complained that their winter isn't as cold as the rooms. LOL. Pardon the rather horrible writing because i'm too tired to type everything out nicely. Anyway, shall compile the list of qian bian tis so far: 1. Mantou and char siew bao went to watch a sad movie. Why did char siew bao cry and why mantou didnt? Cuz char siew bao has filling (feelings) and mantou doesn't. 2. Then, char siew bao went to watch another sad movie with ba zhang. why char siew bao cry but ba zhang dunno whether to cry or not. Cuz ba zhang has mixed fillings (feelings) 3. what is happy's surname? Lee. happy-lee (happily) 4. Where does happy like to go? Lucky plaza. happy-go-lucky. 5. how many friends does happy have? Happy tree (3) friends. 6. Lang lai le. guess a fruit. Peach- Yang tao (goat run away) 7. Yang lai le. guess another fruit Strawberry. Cao mei (no more grass) 8. who flies faster, ultraman or superman? ultraman, cuz he drive in manual gear (ultraman sticks out one hand and the other hand at the side while superman sticks out 2 hands to fly) i think there is like damn a lot more but can't think at the moment. shall continue the list when i rmb. im turning into a workaholic. THE HORROR.
Well i didn't have to work today since yesterday was my last day at SIM. Was quite an eventful morning actually. THE BITCH fired pei liang. LOL. He couldn't come to work because his grandmother entered the ICU and this being the 2nd time he didn't come for work she decided to fire him and told him that it was "the management's decision". right. She just promoted herself to "the management" with a sentence. Why so serious? we are only temp staff.. The funny thing is i think Tracy from Success picked Si Hui to replace Pei Liang. This world is just so ironic. Well, i'm hoping that Si Hui gets the job. But beware of the bitchy shrew. tsk tsk. Nonetheless, Sharon from HE9 actually treated me lunch. Another irony eh, someone from another dept treating me lunch. lol. Went over to ngee ann poly for lunch again at the new food court with almost the whole of HE9 and yi long and tuck leng. I started off eating lunch alone and then it became 2 of us, then 4 of us and suddenly there were like 9 of us. lol The people from HE9 are all quite nice and friendly actually. and at least they are SOCIABLE. not like those from HE7 whom hardly ever talk. Sharon actually told me to come find her when im back in august for studies and we'll go back to ngee ann to eat. LOL. oh well. its over. ha. Anyway, I finally went to register for the LCCI bookkeeping and accounting course. Finally going to get to use my brain again. Its been seriously too long. Actually went to borrow an accounting textbook from derek today also. ha. shall go and read up a little later. Oh yeah, the briefing for the APEC summit went pretty well. I'm suppose to be the Meeting Room Assistant. Basically, i'm just there to help prepare the documents before each meeting and basically just help out with anything in the room i think. Not too sure actually, lol. Shall play it by ear once i start on monday. I'm suppose to be with another girl yi qing in the room together with my room ic, but she's the quiet type unfortunately. doubt we'll be talking much. and if i'm not wrong, we are suppose to remain in the rooms while the meetings are going on. so it will prob be an eye-opener. hopefully, or i will just fall asleep. Met some other people there thou, like benedict, christopher and andrew, all around the same age. was talking abt the usual crap like school, ns etc etc. A couple of them are awaiting their A levels. In the end all the guys sort of banded together and were just talking. Girls always so anti-social one. tsk tsk. not like guys. anywhere and everywhere also can bond. LOL. Talking to benedict made me realise that next week i'll be working at least 84 hours. ok, 77 hours if we minus 1 hour for lunch everyday which i hope they don't, since lunch is at the hotel and i doubt we'll take 1 hour to eat. but nonetheless, i will have at least 33 HOURS OF OT. $_$. LOL. too bad we are only working till thurs the following week so no more OT. =( I think i'm slowly turning into a workaholic. omfg. and my earphones are still spoilt!! argh, stupid logitech had to and take over UE! Apparently, after they took over they decided not to sell spare wires. so now i'm still waiting for a response on how i can go about repairing them. AND ITS ONLY THE GODDAMN WIRES WHICH ARE SPOILT, SO I JUST NEED TO REPLACE THEM WHICH TAKES LIKE 2 SECONDS ONLY AND I'M WAITING FOR LIKE 3 WEEKS ALREADY. and i can't live without my music when i'm outside so i'm back to using the awful stock earphones. Ok, they don't sound too bad actually but i need IEMS!! i need to cut out all the noise when im listening. =/ Went down to Jaben actually, was thinking of getting the sennheiser IE8 actually but changed my mind to the Westone 3. Sigh, but it costs 599. was thinking about getting a 2nd hand pair, but its still about 480 and i bought my UE EBs for about 350 only about 1.5 yrs ago. Zzz... Apparently, logitech jacked up all the UE prices. The TF10 cost 600 over bucks now. Zzzzzzz.... To get or not to get? money money money... its so funny..... LOL |
